Roles and Responsibilities:
Job Summary/Overview:
LSS Fire Engineer responsible for managing LSS installation, testing and commissioning during construction of new facilities and retrofit.
Specific Job Duties:
Oversee onsite contractors while performing life safety system Installation, commissioning, inspections and testing.
•Ensure the LSS System design is in is in compliance with all local & federal regulations and NFPA codes.
•Review project related RFI, Submittal, Change Orders, and General Correspondence.
•Support LSS design review, installation and testing of new equipment.
•Maintain and report project information with internal and external project stakeholder such as EHS, Facilities. Operations and Maintenance, and engineering teams related to the project scope.
•Organize and schedule meetings and present project updates to management teams as the single point of contact.
•Manage project schedule, cost and quality of work performed by contractors by identifying, tracking, resolving and communicating project issues during all phases of project-related work.
•Facilitate team documentation and development of site facilities construction specifications and standard operating procedures.
•Coordination of continuous improvement of life safety system installations and performing regular site field observation for implementation of best practices and development of new project work.
•Review and report scope change requests related to cost and schedule.
•Review, approve, monitor, and communicate all ongoing design and construction work.
•Proactively perform risk mitigation through all aspects of the project scope to improve safety and maintain code compliance.
•Strong work ethic with focus on attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

Skills and Qualifications:
Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required
A minimum of 4 years of experience with a 2 Year degree. An associate degree in Fire Accreditation Program and/or equivalent experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, and Tools
•Knowledge of International Fire Code, IBC, NFPA and OSHA is required.
•Experience with Life Safety Network Systems.
•Understanding of PLC Panels, equipment and software.
•Ability to work overtime and a non-traditional schedule as needed.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
•Must be a team player with good organizational skills and attention to detail.
•Able to multitask, work well under pressure and can work independently when necessary.
