DESCRIPTION OF WORK : Sampson County is seeking a results-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills and a keen attention to detail to assume the management and program support for the Exposition Center. Working closely with community leaders to provide quality programming and focused events, this position oversees day-to-day functions and supervises a diverse staff to ensure operational efficiency and positive outcomes for clients, citizens, students, and personnel. Budgeting, event planning, maintaining social media content, email marketing, facility maintenance, vendor negotiations, contract management, financial recordkeeping, fundraising, inventory management, direct and indirect supervision of full and part-time staff, training, assisting with special projects, and establishing relationships and maintaining partnerships are all responsibilities of the position. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Applicants should have an earned bachelor's degree with coursework in business administration, marketing, public relations, or related field. Considerable management experience with a focus on business marketing, tourist and event promotion is expected.
