SAMPLED is seeking a self-motivated Bioinformatician with three or more years of experience with bachelor’s degree or one or two-years of experience with master’s degree in Bioinformatics, computational biology, or related field. Minimal of one year biotech or pharma experience. Must be adapted with contemporary genomics and proteomics applications such Illumina, PacBio and Nanopore NGS data analysis tools, qPCR, 10X Single Cell, Olink data analysis. Familiarity with array based high throughput data analysis and reporting. Strong programming and software development skills for pipeline automation.

• Daily focus of self on customers’ NGS, microarray, qPCR, 10X single cell, Olink and other data analysis and data delivery to clients. 

• Work with research and development team and project management team to troubleshoot data issues.

• Develop in-house scripts for data analysis and data format manipulations.

• Develop pipelines to automate and standardize data analysis workflow. 

• Evaluate third party bioinformatic tools, perform proof-of-concept test, and provide adoption and integration strategy.

• Troubleshoot bioinformatics tool issues.

• Draft and review internal SOPs. 

• Draft software development, and testing plan and perform software testing.

• Experience in at least one major programming language used in the field of Bioinformatics. Python is preferred. 

• Pipeline development and database experience is a plus.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy. 

• Expertise in analysis of microarray-based genotyping and gene expression data.

• Expertise in analysis of Next-Generation Sequencing data and knowledge of best practices for variant calling and annotations.

• Expertise in assessment of genetic variation and deleterious effects.

• Experience with relevant Sequencing Analysis tools, such as BWA, GATK, SAM tools or related.

• Experience in software testing.

• Experience with quality control management. 

• AWS cloud and Linux experience.

• Strong organizational skills, with attention to priorities, effectively meeting deadlines and responding in a timely manner.
