Sammy's Pub of Dallas is Hiring a Kitchen Manager Near Dallas, NC

We are looking for a Kitchen Manager to supervise

daily business operations with a focus on the back

of house restaurant processes.

Kitchen Manager responsibilities include supervising the food prep,

maintaining a fully-stocked product inventory, the ability to run a full

service shift including the oversight of front of house operations, and

complying with safety and cleanliness standards. To be successful in

this role, you should be able to manage a large staff and guide them

to deliver quality food and service. Ultimately, you will ensure all staff

members are working at their full potential to deliver quality food and service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage both front and back of house staff
  • Create specials
  • Supervise food prep and cooking
  • Check temperatures and proper food storage in compliance with local safety practices and regulations
  • Determine cost and price items when necessary (e.g. during menu changes or when introducing new dishes) in collaboration with GM
  • Fill in on the line if/when needed
  • Order food supplies, kitchen equipment, or service items as needed
  • Train or assist kitchen staff on prep work and specials
  • Ability to efficiently carry out a catering booking, if needed
  • Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area
  • Make vital decisions and plan ahead for specific situations
  • Learn Point of Sale system
  • Take care of administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • Proven related work experience
  • Hands-on experience with planning menus and ordering ingredients
  • Knowledge of a wide range of recipes
  • Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Conflict management abilities
  • Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment
  • Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends
  • Certification from a culinary school or degree in business management is a plus
