We are hiring Part Time employees at $13.25 per hour, 20 to 28 hours per week with Paid Sick and Vacation Leave.

JOB TITLE: SALES ASSOCIATE/MATERIAL HANDLER

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

* Ensure Customer/Donor needs are met by greeting and providing prompt, courteous assistance.

* Sort and price items ready to be merchandised on the sales floor.

* Sort donations to be processed in accordance with Salvation Army Standards.

* Assist in the maintenance of the store to keep it clean, neat and organized.

* Maintain safety standards and report any hazards/problems to the managers.

* Provide Quality Assurance by inspecting products for defects and damages.

* Part-time associates may be scheduled to work any part-time shift including evenings, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays in accordance with business needs and in compliance with state rules.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or Equivalency.

* Will Train How to use a Cash Register but must be able to compute change.

* Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry check.

* Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers and donors.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

* Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.

* Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as clothing racks, clothing carts, etc..

* Ability to operate a telephone.

* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

* Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.
