FLSA Status : Full Time / 40 hours per week; Non-Exempt

Scope of Position / Essential Functions :
Under general supervision of the Operations Manager / Assistant Clinical Manager (OM) the Residential Driver accompanies and / or transports clients on approved passes, reports any unusual client behaviors to the OM, picks up program donations, mail, and client items.
The Residential Driver must be willing to be flexible as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required :
Essential Functions :
Fuel vehicle daily and wash as needed.
Keep accident reports in the vehicle at all times.
Software-related Skills : Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook required; and ability to use new software programs with basic training.
Work Environment : The work environment when not driving is located in a Residential treatment setting. Noise level is moderate.
Language Skills : Must be able to understand, follow and give both written and oral instructions and must be comfortable working with diverse individuals in face-to-face contact and over the telephone.
The employee must be able to use speech and hearing for ordinary and telephone conversation.
Mathematical Skills : Must be able to perform simple calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) and apply concepts such as ratios and percentages in practical situations.
Performance Skills : Must be punctual, self-motivated, organized, flexible, and possess a desire to learn and assist those they interact with.
Driver Requirements : Must be a licensed driver with acceptable driving history. Must also complete and pass The Salvation Army Driver Safety Course.
Sacred Boundaries and Protect the Mission : Must complete the online course for this area and pass the Background Check required by The Salvation Army for employment.
Physical Requirements : Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on intermittent or continuous basis.
Ability to grasp, push, pull, and reach overhead. Ability to operate a telephone. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to access and produce information from a computer.
Ability to understand written information. Ability to operate a motor vehicle in darkness and during periods of inclement weather.
