Position: Site Safety and Health Officer

GovGig is looking for a Safety Officer to join our team to complete a project that will end in Decemeber. Most likely the candidate will continue work on a different project with the same company. The ideal candidate will have a passion for safety and be able to work autonomously and in a team environment. The Safety Officer will be responsible for maintaining the safety of the facility, personnel, and equipment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. The ideal candidate will be able to perform a variety of duties including but not limited to: inspecting and monitoring the level of chemical exposure in all areas of the facility, monitoring levels of exposure in each area of the facility, documenting all incidents that involve exposure to avoid future exposure for employees and visitors, documenting procedures for employee actions related to exposure, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in health care or related field preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• Federal SSHO: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• EM385-1-1 (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• Anchorage, AK: Relocate before starting work (Required)
