As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Safety Coordinator to help us minimize the risk of job-related accidents. You will monitor operations to eliminate hazardous activities. You will also develop policies to promote occupational health and safety (OSH) awareness.

Salute Mission Critical has an exciting opportunity for a safety and regulatory compliance coordinator that will maintain a Global Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) program. Under the direction of the Campus Site Manager and the Account Management team. The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for improving the environmental, health, and safety for mission critical, hyperscale data centers in a campus setting. The EH&S Coordinator will implement sustainability initiatives, promote a safety culture, ensure sustainability initiatives are followed and reported, and will protect the health and wellbeing of employees, customers, suppliers and visitors at the campus.

Shift: 7:30am-4:30pm Mon-Fri (weekends and overtime as needed)

Wage: $25/hr

Description of Responsibilities:

• Safety

• Regular interior/exterior facility inspections (equipment, tools, PPE, maintenance, safety devices etc.).

• Conduct and manage site safety audits and inspections and examine work sites to identify hazards in the workplace.

• Develop a plan/training/tracker to conduct daily Task Hazard Analysis briefs to technicians for all projects worked on site.

• Complete comprehensive reports of findings including correction plans to ensure compliance.

• Analyze risk scenarios to determine their potential impact.

• Design and implement safety-related programs to mitigate risk scenarios.

• Advocate safe changes in the face of new infrastructure, new tools, and new processes.

• Investigate and analyze incident reports involving work‐related injuries, illnesses, and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.

• Maintain extensive and frequent interaction with company management, representatives of federal and state agencies and other safety professionals.

• Responsible for the tracking of all the safety Talent Learning Management System (LMS) reports.

• All other duties and initiatives as assigned.

Position Requirements and Desired Skills:

• OSHA 10 or 30 certified.

• Proven experience as a safety coordinator or similar.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where operations are rapidly changing.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to exercise excellent judgement and decisions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Self-motivated, initiative taker.

• Adhere to all guidelines and expectations set forth in company’s corporate handbook.

• Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement of processes and performance; results-driven and detail-oriented.

• Must be able to pass an extensive background check.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs.

• Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment

• Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments

• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks

• Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly

• Ability to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.

• Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors

• Clear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses

• Ability to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables

• Ability to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facility

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow

• Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection

• Possession of a valid driver’s license for work-related travel, as required
