Job Summary

This position is responsible for the enrollment, registration, and management of student records within the Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) Professional Development, SL Tech, and Workforce Training programs.

This position works with students, staff, and in various registration and record management programs (Ellucian Banner, Enrole, Axiom, Etrieve, etc).

This position coordinates and facilitates resolutions via phone, in person, and electronically to an array of issues related to registration, payments, and enrollments in accordance with established SLCC, State, and Federal policies and regulations.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  • Organize and compile customized student registration and payment information for self-support non-credit and credit programs.
  • Assist individual students in the registration process.
  • Answer the Professional Development Office main telephone line as well as assisting staff and students in person.
  • Assist in providing student service information to students and referring them to the appropriate department.
  • Enter registrations into Banner and Enrole systems.
  • Create and distribute registration confirmation letters to registered students.
  • Cancel and refund course fees requested by students and program managers in Enrole and Banner registrations systems.
  • Pull reports through various programs to admit students into the college.
  • Assist registered students in gaining access to courses through Canvas, and related computer programs.
  • Review and approve eligible students for refunds through Etrieve.
  • Process manual adjustments to students accounts regarding course fee modifications.
  • Update or extend course schedules, adding instructors, and reviewing class capacities for specific programs within Banner and Enrole.
  • Assist in maintaining motorcycle website, including processing incoming registrations, requests, and inquiries.
  • Send online course access to motorcycle students weekly with specific personalized codes.
  • Scan, organize, and create forms in Etrieve.
  • Assist in the creation, processing, and mailing of certificates of achievement for Continuing Education, Institute of Public Safety, SL Tech, and Workforce Training.
  • Upload certificates to Etrieve and certificate request forms into shared drives.
  • Process student graduation applications for non-credit students eligible for certificates of proficiency including grade verifications, financial / general college hold verifications, input graduations status and degree type into Banner, create student diplomas, mail physical diploma to student, notate processes in Banner and Enrole, and notify students who received a denied status on their application.
  • Assist with enrollment verifications, update program of study requests, correct duplicate records, and process registration appeals.
  • Maintain and update accurate student records within Banner, Enrole, and other college systems.
  • Review reports of missing grades over previous terms.
  • Review weekly revenue report and missing payments for non-credit programs within Banner registration.
  • Process official transcripts for non-credit requests.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties Continued Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree.
  • Four (4) years of direct, paid, full-time experience.

Trade off 1 : 1 in experience / education requirement.

Part time experience may be considered on a prorated basis. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of Banner and Enrole Software Systems.
  • Knowledge of college policies and procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize required workload effectively in a busy and changing environment.
  • Ability to manage confidential material and work well under stress.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions effectively.
  • Knowledge of business English, math, writing, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary.
  • Excellent customer relations and telephone skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, and ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
  • Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic background of community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.
