Orthodontic Specialists of Oklahoma is looking for a FUN and energetic Orthodontic Clinical Assistant that has a desire to grow with our Orthodontic dental practices. Candidates must be professional, outgoing, well-organized, reliable, team-oriented and must absolutely love working with patients to create the perfect smile!

This is a full time position and this person will need to be able to travel between clinics in Yukon and Edmond.

• Take X-rays, photos, casts, molds and impressions of patients' mouths to form diagnoses or check treatment progress.
• Treatment room and equipment preparation and sterilization.
• Assist the orthodontist, perform all technical aspects of clinical care not done by the doctor, and act as the liaison for the patient during their appointment from beginning to end.
• Perform routine orthodontic duties, including cleaning and adjusting orthodontic gear.
• Chair-side assistance to the orthodontist during procedures and dental emergencies.
• Documents orthodontic care services by charting in patients’ records.
• Technical and troubleshooting skills for software applications used for charting, patient records, scheduling, etc.
• Customer service skills to ensure patients are well informed and comfortable, before, during, and after their appointment, about their treatment and dental wellness.
• Maintain clean and organized workspaces to ensure safety for everyone.

• 6 months to 1 year of Orthodontic experience and clinical proficiency preferred
• Excellent oral communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Desire and ability to learn new skills and be a team player.
• Commitment to being punctual and report to work on time.
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Physical Demands/Working Environment

• Ability to lift, carry, pull or push up to 25lbs.
• Ability to travel to other practice locations between Edmond and Yukon when required.
