Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the two positions of Food Service Aide II in the Cool Beans & Chesapeake - Coffee Shops.

Primary Job Duties: Under direct supervision, functions as a lead worker in a campus coffee shop, providing oversight, guidance and direct preparation of drinks according to specified standard recipes, This role is accountable to maintain brand and campus standards of operation and responsible for employee/customer safety, equipment, inventory, presentation and assuring a high quality guest experience.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma and a minimum 1 year in retail food service operation, demonstrated ability to operate equipment and point-of-sale technology, with a commitment to exemplary customer service.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in similar coffee shop or barista role, experience leading coworkers.

These are part-time (35 hour) non-exempt contingent positions with no benefits. Salary is $15.86 per hour. Working periods include late-August through mid-December and late-January through late-May; work schedules include weekday, daytime hours, nights and weekends depending on the needs of the business. This position is also considered essential, meaning the position is expected to report for work in emergency situations such as extreme weather conditions when the campus may be closed.
