We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR and Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team.
Role Summary: The HR and Payroll Specialist at Salisbury Country Club will be responsible for managing all aspects of human resources and payroll processes. This role requires a blend of skills in HR management, payroll administration, compliance, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR practices, payroll processing, and a passion for providing excellent service to our employees.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Manage and maintain employee records, including but not limited to personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance evaluations, and termination information.
  • Implement and manage HR policies and procedures in compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Assist in the recruitment process by coordinating job postings, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and selecting candidates.
  • Conduct new employee orientations and employee relations counseling.
  • Handle employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Prepare reports and analytics for management regarding employee-related data such as hires, turnovers, and payroll expenses.
  • Coordinate with department managers to assist with HR issues and provide strategic HR support.
  • Manage employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-provided benefits.
  • Conduct audits of payroll, benefits, and other HR programs, and recommend corrective action.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR and payroll administration.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems, experience with Paycor is a plus.
  • In-depth understanding of state and federal employment laws.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software.
  • HR or Payroll certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, CPP) is preferred.
