BEDI Partnerships is Hiring a Sr. BI Analyst, Marketing Analytics Near San Francisco, CA

About Us
At Udemy, we're on a mission to improve lives through the power of learning. We're a leading global learning company and one of the world's largest education platforms, with more than 67 million learners. Our goal is to provide flexible, effective skill development to empower organizations and individuals.
Talented people are everywhere, and the right opportunity can be hard to come by. That's why we're focused on revolutionizing learning, using our skills and expertise to help others develop theirs and reach their full potential. Individually, we bring our unique perspective to reimagine the way we share knowledge. Together, we can improve lives by making learning more accessible for our learners, our instructors, and businesses around the world.
This hybrid position requires two days per week in our San Francisco office.
About you
You're a connector who puts people first and values the lasting partnerships you'll build. You're an active listener who cares about the stories people share and are energized by communication and collaboration. You love learning new things and are known for bringing innovative perspectives and questions to the table. You're deadline and results-driven, passionate about creating new processes, systems, and best practices that help your internal partners do their best work.
About this role:
We are looking for an energetic, collaborative, and independent individual who is passionate about driving increased access to high quality education in the world. As a Senior BI Analyst, you'll partner directly with Udemy's Marketing organization and be responsible for providing data-driven reporting, analysis and insights that inform decision-making and improve Udemy's business performance. You will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in designing and developing KPIs, building comprehensive dashboards to track performance trends, conducting analytical deep dives, and partnering with marketers to execute campaigns and incrementality tests.
What you'll be doing:
  • Design, implement, and track marketing KPIs to help Udemy better measure performance for both paid and own-channel marketing investments
  • Develop comprehensive business dashboards in Tableau to monitor marketing-related metrics and trends
  • Partner with Udemy's Analytics Engineering team to optimize and productionize our most important and/or complex data sets. Be hands on, when needed, in building data pipelines that support your reporting and analytical solutions
  • Conduct analyses and ad hoc deep dives, and organize your findings into actionable insights that will inform and optimize our media planning
  • Present findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams and senior leadership in an accessible, compelling format
  • Contribute to the design and execution of marketing experiments to test hypotheses, improve conversion rates, and enhance overall campaign performance
  • Analyze A/B test results and provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement
What you'll have:
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field and 4 yrs of experience as a Marketing/Product Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Scientist, BI Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or similar role
  • Expert skills in SQL, Excel, and Tableau data visualization tools. A deep understanding of data lineage: the technical systems by which data is generated; how metrics are aggregated; and how the resulting business intelligence is consumed, interpreted, and acted upon by the business
  • Knowledge of engineering and operational excellence best practices. You are able to make enhancements that improve data processes (e.g., data auditing solutions, management of manually maintained tables, automating, ad-hoc or manual operation steps)
  • Excellent problem solving skills; you are hypothesis driven and seamlessly able to zoom in and out to get to the root of a problem/opportunity
  • Experience analyzing business performance trends and providing relevant, actionable insights
  • Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
  • A track record of being a highly collaborative, team player who can work cross-functionally while balancing multiple projects/competing priorities
  • A orientation to be self-driven, learn new, unfamiliar tools and deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data. Hands on experience designing and executing A/B tests as part of a marketing or product analytics function preferred, but not required
We understand that not everyone will match each of the above qualifications. However, we also realize that everyone has unique experiences that can add value to our company. Even if you think your background might not perfectly align, we'd love to hear from you!
Life at Udemy
We aspire to be as vibrant and dynamic as the communities we serve, as inquisitive as those who use our platform, and as revolutionary as the future we strive to open for everyone. Here are some of the things we love about life at Udemy:
  • We're invested in creating an inclusive environment that welcomes a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences. From creating employee resource groups, ensuring we're a Fair Pay Workplace, and building a flexible work culture, our belonging, equity, diversity, and inclusion (BEDI) initiatives always put our people first. We want you to be able to bring your authentic self to work because when we all do, we're better for it.
  • Learning is what we do - inside and out. Our Learning & Development team is second to none, helping ensure your journey is one of continuous progression. You'll also have unlimited access to Udemy courses, monthly UDays (meeting-free professional development days), and a generous annual professional development stipend.
  • Our reason to exist is to revolutionize learning - that calls for taking risks and learning from failures. Whether it's our hackathons (a company-wide effort to envision new possibilities for our product) or sharing our prototypes, we see experimentation as a crucial step on the path to success.
  • We're committed to creating world-class employee experiences and are proud of the recognition of this by Great Place to Work.
Of course, the best thing about being part of Udemy is knowing your work makes a difference for people and organizations around the world. You've got the skills; why not use them to help others develop theirs?
