Job Summary:
This position will collaborate our Senior Architects and Engineers to implement architectural services in our multi-disciplinary office. We seek a highly motivated individual committed to working as part of a team both within our office and with our clients.
The team’s core business is the implementation of building improvements and energy efficiency for premier educational and healthcare clients. We are currently expanding our project-types and clientele within the architecture department.
In this role, you will:
- Design architectural solutions for a wide variety of interior and exterior projects
- Participate in the conceptual design and provides full support throughout the entire project
- Coordinate project team of staff architects and in-house engineers
- Research and implement codes and rules across a variety of agencies
- Participate in client meetings and design presentations for the architectural scope
- Coordinate client and contractor relationships
- Production of design documents, reports, and studies
- Assist with bidding and construction administration services
You will be a great fit if you have:
- 8 years of design experience
- License to practice architecture (RA) prefered
- Knowledge of codes and rules in New York City and New York State
- Proficiency with construction drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and other common business programs
- Good communication and time management skills
- Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work
- Ability to work collaboratively within team environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects with quick turnarounds
- Ability to lead a team as well as work as part of a team
