Essential Duties:

• Assist with the Quick Kaizen program to complete/implement action items.
• Work with the Continuous Improvement team to evaluate value-added activity to production.
• Maintain and update SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for updates and submit changes to document owners.
• Learn, create, maintain, technical training guides for updates, and submit changes to document owners.
• Able to perform required tasks at each station according to the SOP, and able to train and coach operators/cell leads on proper procedure.
• Assist during line changeovers.
• Primary contact for troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Escalate equipment issues and quality concerns to maintenance, PI, and quality teams.
• Work with supervisors and trainers to train line leaders as needed.
• Address and escalate out-of-spec process checks as needed.
• Support with projects as needed.
• Identify bottleneck processes for improvement.

• Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Minimum of 2 years of Manufacturing Experience.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills are required.
• Must have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Frequently required to stand and walk, and occasionally required to sit, bend, and squat
• Without assistance must be able to frequently lift, carry, push, and/or pull objects weighing anywhere from 1lb to 45lbs.
• Able to work both independently and as a team member

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels are essential.

Qualifications Preferred:

• Preferred Certification Six Sigma Yellow belt or higher
• Must be proficient in the use of business software such as Excel, Word, and MS-Outlook. Must have a demonstrated ability to apply inferential and deductive reasoning.
• Proficient and able to Jog, home, and reset robots.
• Able to navigate and use HMIs to fix and diagnose problems.

• Able to navigate and correct logical sequence issues on lines (blocked safety scanners, misaligned sensors, poor vacuum, etc.)
• Experience with creating SOP’s and Standard Work Instructions.

• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing processes

This is a newly created position that will support all three shifts. There will be one candidate selected for each shift: 1st shift 7am to 3pm $21.65 2nd shift 3pm to 11pm $22.00, 3rd shift 11pm to 7am $22.40.
