Recruitment and Retention Coordinator
BASE WAGE $19.57-$21.53 per hour based on education level.

DESCRIPTION
SAL Community Services connects the community to services that ensure every child can succeed in school and life, and every adult has access to basic human needs like food, counseling, child care, and housing. We do this by listening, learning, and acting to help individuals and families navigate the barriers that prevent them from moving their life forward in a positive way.
The Recruitment and Retention Coordinator provides technical assistance and support services for potential licensed, and license exempt child care providers and to recruit and retain child care providers and programs into the field. Supports license exempt providers seeking approval in Child Care Assistance Program and ongoing completion/verification of required license exempt provider training. You will:
  • Create and implement an annual Retention and Recruitment Plan for child care providers using available data sources for the service delivery area.
  • Provide technical assistance to potential licensed and license exempt child care providers through initial application processes to become an approved provider in the Child Care Assistance Program and / or steps in licensing with Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
  • Provide technical assistance to license exempt providers on Illinois Department of Human Services training requirements as outlined by the Illinois Department of Human Services.
  • Support child care providers in the process of becoming members of the Gateways Training Registry.
  • Enter data tracking training completion of license exempt providers as needed in both state databases and internal reporting systems.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A full list of job responsibilities will be provided prior to an interview. Education and Experience
Required: Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following related fields (Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Child Psychology/Behavioral Sciences, Family Consumer Sciences, Social Work, Elementary Education, Child Welfare, Family Services.)
