Overall coordination, organization and development of medical care for the Bronx DD Department while carrying out the goals and objectives of the Agency. Responsible for direct supervision of nursing personnel in Bronx DD programs. The position includes interviewing RN's and LPN's, as well as evaluating all nursing staff. Liaison with Prescription drug companies to ensure all supplies and prescriptions needs are met. Attend conferences concerning clients and relates pertinent information to the appropriate people. Maintain community contacts and resources as these affect the medical department. Responsible for the development of leadership and gives direction and supervision to staff in the performance of their duties. Responsible for all medical evaluations and review within prescribed time frames. Evaluate, teach and document self-medication steps to consumers. Other duties as per job description.

A minimum of an Associate’s Degree is required. Must have a NYS Registered Nurse Certification required with at least 3 years RN experience. 2 years of supervisory/management. Experience. Knowledge of OPWDD rules and regulations.
