The Controller is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the company by working with the Executive Management Team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies.

KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:• Participate in the development of and support the company’s strategic plans.• Communicates financial metrics to senior management.• Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action.• Develops and manages financial controls over accounting transactions in accordance with Saiia’s policies and procedures in order to minimize risk.• Compile and analyze financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.• Evaluate the finance division structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group and provide individuals with professional and personal growth.• Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that enhances the company’s cash position and includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs• Produce the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.• Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.• Assists IEA with filing quarterly and annual reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission.• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:• Plans, organizes, and manages Accounting department workflow to ensure the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational expectations and requirements.• Responsible for personal and professional development to stay ahead of the competition in our industry.• Communicates and acts with a team-oriented mentality.• Ensure positive morale and engagement of employees.• Communicates and adheres to Company values and vision.• Assist in recruitment, performance management, promotions, retention, and termination activities.• Provide guidance to team members and monitors their performance, discipline, and attendance.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
• Thorough understanding of corporate and industry financial practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on Company activities.• Proficiency with all necessary technological tools, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint , and Outlook with the ability to use other software, as necessary.• Experience with ERP systems. Vista Viewpoint preferred.• Experience developing budgets.• Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.• Exceptional time management and planning skills to manage and prioritize resources, and people.• Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills.• Excellent written and verbal communication.• Ability to organize numerous streams of information.• Ability to meet timelines, manage multiple projects, and work in a fast-paced environment.• Ability to communicate across various levels of the organization.• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.• Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.• Must participate in and share ideas for change, innovation, and improvement of team output.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Accounting• Minimum of 3 years of experience leading a department or division for an organization.• Prior Accounting experience in a Construction and/or Multiple worksite environment preferred
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:• Must have and maintain a valid state issued Driver’s License with driving record that meets Saiia’s risk management guidelines.• CPA certification is desirable but not required.
