Saginaw Remodel is Hiring a Property Maintenance Technician Near Saginaw, MI

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Property Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the proper upkeep and maintenance of our rental properties.

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to maintain the condition, functionality, and appearance of our properties, including painting, drywall repair, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform painting and touch-up work to maintain the interior and exterior appearance of rental units and common areas.
  • Repair and patch drywall as needed to address damage or imperfections.
  • Conduct electrical repairs and installations, including replacing outlets, switches, light fixtures, and wiring as necessary.
  • Address plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, and fixture repairs to ensure proper functioning of plumbing systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation components.
  • Complete general maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, repairing doors and windows, and addressing minor carpentry needs.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants and property managers, prioritizing and addressing issues in a timely manner.
  • Conduct routine inspections of rental units and common areas to identify maintenance needs and address potential safety hazards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs completed, and inventory of supplies and materials.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and regulations in all maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in property maintenance, including painting, drywall repair, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance tasks.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance problems efficiently and effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with tenants, property managers, and team members.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
  • Availability for on-call and emergency maintenance duties as needed.
