As we continue to experience exponential growth in our business, we are seeking an experienced Sr. Staff Accountantto join our dynamic team.

Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining the general ledger by reconciling general ledger accounts, performing account analyses, posting general journal entries, and posting correcting journal entries for New Bath Today and its affiliated companies. This position manages payments from customers and may assist in processing payroll and managing the corporate credit card program. The individual must be a self-starter possessing a high degree of integrity and have a good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Essential Functions

• Prepare monthly and quarterly general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Managing the closing process for Colorado Living and Midwest Bath and other entities as assigned by management
• Working closing with the AR specialist, Accounts reconciliation specialist, and bookkeepers, assure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed timely and complete the balance sheet reconciliation sheets for Colorado Living, MWB and other entities assigned by management
• Supervise the workload of the bookkeepers for Colorado Living and Midwest Bath including approving timesheets and managing workload.
• Complete the weekly cash flow projection worksheet and present to management.
• Approve bank transactions, Sage Intacct transactions and bill.com transactions daily and assuring the company maintains adequate cash flow
• Maintain fixed asset and depreciation records ensuring they reconcile with the general ledger and capital expenditure reports
• Update and maintain the ASC 842 schedule by adding and new leases and booking monthly journal entries
• Prepare and record weekly payroll journal entries
• Ensure inventory balances are accurate, make adjusting journal entries and suggesting ways to improve accuracy
• Analyze general ledger accounts and explain large variances
• Prepare various month-end reports for management
• Prepare and post journal entries as requested by manager
• Provide back-up support to Accounting and Finance team
• Assist with special projects and reports as assigned by the management team

Additional Functions

• Manage the corporate credit program including setting up users, ordering credit cards, maintaining passwords and PINs and reconciling monthly spending reports to the General Ledger
• Act as a back-up to payroll processing in the event of Payroll Administrator’s absence
• Post cash receipts and credit card payments for customers
• Assist in developing financial policies and regulations

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Five years of experience
• Sage Intacct experience a plus
