We are seeking an entry level bookkeeper to join our accounting department. Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Maintaining General Ledger and entries,

· Maintaining bank accounts for all companies,

· Maintaining account receivables/invoices and payments for all companies,

· Maintaining accounts payables for all companies,

· Maintaining intercompany transfers,

· Maintaining donations,

· Completing bank reconciliations for all accounts,

· Reconciling credit card statements,

· Maintaining accounts receivable and payables hard files, and

· Project – cost tracking,

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

· Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and accounting systems.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

· Strong working knowledge of accounting software.

· Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

· Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills.

· Quick-learner.

· Pays attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Position is full-time, Monday through Friday (8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.); location is Valparaiso, Indiana. Excellent benefits package including medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability. 401(k) opportunity is available.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
