SAFREST Resources is seeking exceptional caregivers for part-time, weekend contract opportunities to serve as a Hospice RN with an in-home hospice care provider.

Position Type: Part-time, contract (1099)

Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday

Location: Philadelphia County, PA

Job Description: We are seeking skilled Hospice RNs to join a dynamic team providing exceptional care to hospice patients across Philadelphia County. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing services on an on-call basis, ensuring patients receive the support and comfort they need.

Responsibilities:

• Follow care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to address patients' needs.
• Administer medication and provide skilled nursing care to manage pain and symptoms effectively.
• Evaluate patients' progress to ensure optimal comfort and care.
• Offer support to patients and their families, fostering a compassionate and understanding environment.
• Educate patients and their families on disease progression, treatment options, and end-of-life care to promote informed decision making.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care, progress, and any relevant changes in condition.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse with active unrestricted state specific RN license
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• A minimum of one (1) year of hospice in-home care experience.
• Two (2) years of hospice, palliative care, long term care, ICU/CCU, acute medical/surgical and/or home health experience preferred.
• Clinical experience in dealing with geriatrics and/or adult population is required. Pediatric experience in conjunction with adult population is a plus.
• Must have reliable personal vehicle/transportation, a valid driver’s license, and car insurance.
• Must maintain active and valid BLS CPR certification and recertification, necessary for employment as a healthcare professional.
