- Cleans and sanitizes all common areas, public restrooms, and offices.
- Washing dirty mops and dry mops.
- Stocking and maintaining housekeeping inventory.
- Dusting furniture or fixtures.
- Sweeping and mopping floors
- Vacuuming and cleaning carpets, door mats, and rugs.
- Daily rounds to ensure all paper products and cleaning supplies are stocked in each of the shelter houses.
- Reports all damages, and safety issues for repair.
- Work with individual volunteers and groups of volunteers to ensure cleaning projects are successfully completed.
- Follow a daily routine.
- Cleaning and sanitizing of departed clients’ rooms.
- Light maintenance responsibilities.
- Clean biohazard areas
- Valid driver’s license with a clean DMV history
- Working knowledge of cleaning supplies
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A high degree of professionalism
- Proven inventory control skills
- Reliable and able to work some weekends
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong decision-making skills
- Possess a belief in the empowerment of survivors of domestic violence

- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate office noise but may vary on occasion if circumstances require.
- Regular attendance during regularly scheduled business hours is expected. However, this position requires occasional flexibility in work hours as needed to accomplish department goals and objectives.
- Must have reliable transportation to report to shifts at multiple locations
- Confidentiality: Due to the nature of our work, you will be required to sign a confidentiality statement, pass an FBI background check, and a pre-employment drug test.
