SafeHaven of Tarrant County is Hiring a Housing Intake Specialist Near Fort Worth, TX

This position facilitates the intake process and provides administrative support to staff and participants of the Safe Living Housing department. This position also supports the Safe Living Housing team in the implementation of housing processes and procedures to ensure quality service delivery to housing participants.

The specific qualifications of this role are:
• At least five years of administrative experience.
• Sixty college hours preferred or a minimum of two years relevant experience.
 • Knowledge in Housing First Model, Housing Tenant Right and Trauma Informed Care.
• Experience in and knowledge of family violence theory preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as housing applications, operating manuals, and professional journals.
• Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and appropriate case notes. • Ability to speak effectively before groups of clients.
 • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
• Reasoning Ability
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
 • Current Texas Driver’s License Required. Must provide proof of automobile liability insurance.
• Frequent prolonged sitting, occasional walking, stooping, and standing and lifting of up to 25 pounds.
• Frequent exposure to communicable diseases.
• Occasional exposure to clients with addiction or psychiatric disorders.
