Exciting opportunity to join our busy primary care office! We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Referral Coordinator/ Patient Care Coordinator to be responsible for administrative and clerical tasks. The responsibilities include creating a referral request based on appointment type for all physicians and mid-levels, send to primary care/internist, confirm receipt, and document in EMR. Log all request and track appropriately. Communicating with staff members and patient regarding referral status. You will be responsible for assisting and/or obtaining authorization for ordered imaging. Filter and sort incoming faxes in the EMR. Uploading records to patients charts.

To be a successful Referral Coordinator, you should be organized, detail-oriented and meticulous. You should have excellent typing and computer skills, as well as strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

• Answering telephones and emails as well as common questions about referral coordinating appropriately and timely.
• Inputting all information in the EMR in a timely manner.
• Maintaining an organized system to insure all referrals are being ordered and received.
• Sorting attaching records from incoming faxes appropriately.
• Obtain authorization for ordered imaging at outside facilities.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year experience with referral coordinator or medical office assistant.
• Excellent computer, telephone, and typing skills.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Experience with EMR specifically E-Clinical Works - REQUIRED.
• Medical Front Office Experience - REQUIRED
• Must be able to speak English and Spanish
