SAFEGAURD SECURITY is Hiring an Unarmed Security Officer Near Portland, OR
Thank you for your interest in employment opportunities with Safeguard Security Inc! S.G.S. is a locally owned security firm servicing the Portland Metro Area committed to excellence in the field of unarmed security.
We are now recruiting Full Time and Part Time Security Officers to add to our growing team of professionals. We have immediate openings for asset protection and fire watch on construction sites in the metro area. We are now hiring for weekday graveyard and weekend day shift (12hr shifts) Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The right candidate will be:
- Interested in pursuing a career in security industry
- Certified by the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) with a stable work history.
- Be able to undergo and pass background and drug testing.
- Be able to effectively read, write and communicate
- Be able to stand on ones feet for prolonged periods of time and lift a minimum of 50 lbs
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have reliable transportation
- Have minimal restrictions to work availability
- Driver's license (preferred)
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Foot and or vehicle patrol of the designated areas in accordance with outlined security procedures
- Prepare reports on incidents, accidents and any unusual activity
- De-escalate situations
- Control site/building access points
- Respond to emergencies and write clear, accurate and detailed reports
- Act as a visual deterrent
- Professionally interact and provide customer service to the client and public as needed

Compensation is $15-16/hour - experience certified officers
