Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Kitchen Associate at Safe Harbor of Chester County. The Kitchen Associate plays a crucial role at Safe Harbor assisting with meal preparation, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are met, and contributing to the overall well-being of our residents. The main role of this position is to work with the Kitchen Manager to ensure that the food and nutrition meals of our 40 residents are met daily.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with meal preparation under the direction of the Kitchen Manager.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
• Assist with organization and storage of food and kitchen supplies.
• Follow food safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safety of our residents.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operation of meal services.
• Provide friendly and respectful assistance to residents during meal times.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a kitchen environment preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compassionate attitude and a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.25 - $16.50 per hour
