SummarySafe Flight Instrument Corporation is seeking a talented IT Systems Administrator to join our team. This position requires a strong technical skill set, attention to detail, exceptional organizational abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Monitoring and maintaining networks and servers.
- Upgrading, installing and configuring new hardware and software to meet company objectives.
- Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats.
- Creating user accounts and performing access control.
- Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimize computer systems.
- Documenting processes, as well as backing up and archiving data.
- Developing data retrieval and recovery procedures.
- Designing and implementing efficient end-user feedback and error reporting systems.
- Supervising and mentoring IT department employees, as well as providing IT support.
- Keeping up to date with advancements and best practices in IT administration.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- 5 years’ experience with VMware, Exchange, Windows Server 2008-2022, and Active Director
- Veeam Backup and Recovery, Networking Monitoring, SharePoint and Office 365
- Basic understanding of switches and firewalls
- Excellent customer service skills as this role is responsible for desktop support for 100 workstations
- Must be highly self-motivated and an independent thinker
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent: A solid educational foundation in computer science, information systems, or a related field is required for this role. Equivalent practical experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
