Your Mission
Job Duties:
Develop, maintain, and deliver cloud and hybrid-cloud infrastructure solutions that meet the needs and objectives of client companies. Manage the development and refinement of cloud applications for various projects. Monitor clients' cloud infrastructure functionality to identify potential problems and test and debug to ensure quality and performance. Perform updates, repairs, or enhancements of existing cloud infrastructure to ensure quality and performance or adapt to new requirements. Develop improvements and upgrades, design additional applications, and configure more efficient components. Develop, maintain, and deliver cloud and hybrid-cloud infrastructure solutions that meet the needs and objectives of client companies. Work with clients and software developers to gather business requirements and develop high-quality cloud software systems using the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Assess existing system capabilities and develop cloud solutions to improve the operational efficiency and performance of client systems. Create technical and functional designs and specifications and ensure that software designs and components meet business requirements. Review project objectives, requirements, and feedback with the infrastructure team and determine project scope, goals, phases, and timelines. Develop detailed cloud infrastructure designs and architecture by preparing data models, flow charts, schematic diagrams, and mappings of data sources, transformations, and data movement. Perform workload migrations from on-premises software or other cloud or cloud-hybrid software to the Google Cloud Platform for client companies. Stand up experimental infrastructure on the GCP, building hybrid-cloud solutions on top of other computer systems and applications such as Kubernetes and Anthos. Implement Infrastructure-as-Code environment automation and develop automated Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Customize features for clients' existing cloud infrastructure to improve existing infrastructure and user-friendliness. Review current cloud infrastructure integrations for client companies and maintain and update developed client systems. Perform software flow analysis, software performance tuning, software documentation, debugging, and testing. Test cloud infrastructure for any performance and security issues and debug the application to ensure quality and performance. Perform unit and integration testing. Customize and enhance cloud and hybrid-cloud software to improve performance and strengthen the integration capabilities of current and future modifications. Modify existing mappings for enhancements of new business requirements as needed. Provide technical support to system users. Provide solutions and assistance to improve productivity, including technology and component upgrades. Stay abreast of the latest technological advances and industry trends to ensure optimal performance and effective application development.

Expectations
Customer Facing - You will interact with customers on a regular basis, sometimes daily, other times weekly/bi-weekly. Common touchpoints occur when qualifying potential opportunities, at project kickoff, throughout the engagement as progress is communicated, and at project close. You can expect to interact with a range of customer stakeholders, including engineers, technical project managers, and executives.
Onboarding/Training - The first several weeks of onboarding are dedicated to learning and will encompass learning materials/assignments and compliance training, as well as meetings with relevant individuals. Details of the timeline are shared closer to the start date.
Job Requirements
The position requires a Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another related field and one year of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Special skills requirements:
Must possess experience in any amount with the following skills that can be gained via education or experience: Experience with networking, VPNs, and compute infrastructure (servers, databases, firewalls, load balancers); Experience migrating complex, multi-tiered workloads from on-prem to the cloud, including provisioning the target infrastructure and executing cutover plans that minimize system downtime; Experience delivering immutable infrastructure-as-code solutions using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt and Packer; Experience delivering continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines, utilizing techniques like blue/green and canary deployments, with tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, TravisCI, and Spinnaker; and Experience in architecting, developing, and maintaining production-grade systems in virtualized environments.
Work Schedule: 40 hours/week
