Senior Cloud Engineer (Brain Computer Interface)

Job Overview:

The Senior Cloud Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and management of robust cloud-based tools and applications. A key element of this role involves implementing robust security measures to protect our cloud services. You will play a critical role in supporting our team of neuroscientists in their experimental research and providing unrivaled solutions for our clients.

Location: Hybrid (Must reside in Los Angeles, California)

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for scaling up our cloud infrastructure across platforms.
• Collaborate with the Engineering team to design and implement scalable and secure cloud-based applications.
• Implement rigorous security measures to safeguard our cloud services, including assessing system vulnerabilities and developing appropriate solutions.
• Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards for code quality and thoughtful design.
• Manage cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines
• Communicate with leaders, stakeholders, and users on process changes and proposals for future improvements.
• Leverage your deep experience working on large scale cloud-native infrastructure.
• Work closely with Neuroscience teams to understand their needs and develop effective cloud-based tools.
• Provide technical support for clients using our tools and applications.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, with demonstrated expertise in at least 1 of the following platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Extensive experience in cloud, automation, and CI/CD technologies.
• 5 years of experience writing code in a team of experienced software developers Should feel comfortable to take on a task of designing a logic and coding a backend module or a mobile app feature. Python and JavaScript are required.
• Experience with DevOps and Linux environments.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes and its ecosystem.
• Strong ability to learn new technologies quickly and independently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in collaborating with diverse teams.
• Note: Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Preferred Skills:

• Mobile development experience.
• GraphQL API (Apollo), Android (Kotlin), iOS (Swift)
• Familiarity with real-time and ML applications and systems.
• Proven experience in designing and maintaining secure systems.

Annual Salary Range*: $120,000 - $190,000 / year (plus discretionary bonus plan and equity)

*The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors.
