OVERVIEW: The Intervention Specialist functions as the frontline worker for families who are experiencing a situation of instability, who feel overwhelmed and/or does not have the knowledge of resources when faced by challenges that divert the family’s focus away from effective parenting. This position is responsible for intervention and short-term community-based advocacy on behalf of families, including resource and referral services and actively participates in the multi-resource team.
DUTIES:
LOCATION: 2251 Florin Rd., Sacramento, CA 95822 (Family Resource Center - Meadowview)
SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
SALARY: $20.22 - $22.74 per hour, Non-Exempt
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required.
A Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or a related field is preferred.
2 years of experience working with at-risk families as a support worker is required.
Experience working with culturally diverse communities and families is preferred.
Driving is an essential function of this job. As such, employees in this position will be required to furnish their own vehicle to be used in the course of employment. A valid driver’s license and minimum insurance coverage is also required. Must be at least 21 years old.
