Job Summary
Lead regional Automotive Sales team in USA and Canada, including strategy development and execution to meet agreed upon operating measurements.
Specific focus areas include commercial strategy, contract negotiations, and new business identification. Responsible for aligning all sales strategy decisions and activities with overall Automotive and SABIC strategy while also driving region specific differentiation to deliver growth.
Accountable for all sales financial targets and overall development and growth of the position for both short and long term performance.
How You Can Be the Impact
Develop annual plans / budgets, define and set appropriate business and financial performance targets and monitor performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
Define and set volume, revenue and profitability targets for sales team and monitor performance against plan.
The leader will be responsible for creating value at a customer base that requires a high level of collaboration and application development.
The leader will be responsible for driving a commercial strategy that maintains a careful balance of selective technical collaboration while providing the most competitive product offerings.
Manage key customer relationships and prioritize activities according to Automotive strategy
Be responsible to identify commercial opportunities, innovation or other opportunities that would contribute towards improvements to the business, and recommend actions to take advantage of these.
Keep abreast of developments in the relevant field (technological, industry, professional) to maintain best practice and take advantage of business opportunities
Manage product speciation initiatives including global product approvals along with necessary rationalization activities.
Align with Automotive Marketing to validate new opportunities and applications. Build target pipeline and convert to the bottom-line.
Develop strong working relationships with customers, including frequent face-to-face visits.
Responsible for assuring compliance of corporate legal, safety and ethics policies
What Matters to SABIC
BS / BA Business / Marketing / Technical Degree
Minimum 10 years automotive industry with relevant sales experience
Ability to lead, direct, guide, plan and develop new projects and programs
Business acumen & negotiating
Customer focus
Decision quality
Presentation skills and demonstrated experience in presenting to groups at customer and internal customers are required
