Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Strategic Data Governance Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of non-invasive data governance strategies that align with the organization's objectives and data architecture. This responsibility includes establishing and overseeing data standards, policies, and procedures.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders, including IT, legal, compliance, and business units, to ensure data governance practices meet internal and external requirements and standards.
- Training and Certification Management: Utilize your certifications in non-invasive data governance to train and mentor team members. Ensure continuous learning and certification in the latest data governance practices and tools.
- Data Quality Management: Oversee the development and implementation of data quality standards, data protection standards, and audit mechanisms. Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Monitor compliance with data governance policies and regulations. Identify and mitigate risks associated with data handling and storage.
- Data Governance Tools and Technologies: Implement and manage data governance tools and technologies. Stay abreast of new trends and advancements in data governance and management technologies.
- Reporting and Metrics: Develop and maintain metrics and reports to track the effectiveness of data governance initiatives. Provide regular updates to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other teams such as data science, analytics, and IT to ensure data governance practices are integrated throughout the organization.
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data governance, focusing on non-invasive data governance. Experience in implementing data governance frameworks and policies.
- Relevant certifications in data governance, such as the Data Governance and Stewardship Professional (DGSP) or similar.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles and practices.
- Excellent leadership and project management skills.
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data governance tools and software.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional remote office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, including but not limited to, computers, phones, and photocopiers.
Physical Demands
