Job Overview:

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and translating client needs into actionable solutions for the implementation of the Medicaid Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) system. You will collaborate closely with clients, project managers, and technical teams to ensure that EVV implementations align with regulatory requirements, meet business objectives, and deliver tangible value to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs, goals, and requirements related to Medicaid Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) implementation projects
• Conduct comprehensive business process analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization in the context of EVV requirements and regulations
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder meetings to elicit, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements for EVV solutions
• Develop detailed business requirements documentation including user stories, use cases, process flows, and functional specifications to guide solution design and development
• Work closely with technical teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure alignment between business and technical objectives
• Support the configuration, testing, and validation of EVV systems to ensure that they meet client requirements, regulatory standards, and industry best practices
• Collaborate with project managers, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues, mitigate risks, and ensure successful delivery of EVV implementation projects
• Provide subject matter expertise on Medicaid EVV regulations, standards, and best practices to internal teams and clients, and contribute to knowledge sharing and training initiatives
• Analyze and interpret EVV data and performance metrics to assess system effectiveness, identify trends, and make recommendations for continuous improvement
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies related to EVV and healthcare informatics, and incorporate relevant insights into project planning and execution
• Experience with CMS Certification processes and requirements ensuring compliance with CMS standards for EVV implementations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst; with 3 of those years supporting a recent Medicaid Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) project
• Strong understanding of Medicaid regulations, policies, and requirements related to Electronic Visit Verification (EVV), including CMS Certification standards
• Proven ability to conduct business process analysis, gather requirements, and document functional specifications for complex healthcare IT systems
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, analyze data, and develop practical solutions
• Experience working in Agile or iterative software development environments
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (such as Agile, Scrum, Jira, or Microsoft Project) is a plus
• Relevant certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or similar are desirable
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to travel occasionally for client meetings or project-related activities (as needed)
