Salary Range: $19.15–24.33 per hour plus benefits
Full/Part-time: Full Time
Purpose of Position:
Maintains control of meal preparation and service for the member meals. Ensure meals contain one each: protein, starch, vegetables, salad, and dessert or fruit. Ensures kitchen area is clean and meets all sanitary food preparation standards, including all preparation and service clean-up; cleans inside and outside of refrigerators; sweeps and mops floors; and removes trash. Assists with any catering orders and/or deliveries.
Essential Functions:
• Cooks weekly menus to location(s) and some catering events
• Ensures snacks are provided for the members
• Works with Culinary Arts Manager to develop new menu options for meals
• Ensures meals are served in a timely manner
• Pulls weekly stock of food from freezer and stores per health and safety guidelines
• Ensures that proper cleanser mixtures are used at all times
• Attends monthly all-staff meetings
• Checks and documents required daily/weekly temperatures, etc.
• Follows policy and procedure of STAR.
• Other duties as required
Requirements
Experience:
6 months cooking in a group setting
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· Good communication skills
· Ability to set priorities and maintain schedules
· Good organizational skills
Professional Certifications & Licenses:
Food Handlers Card
Other requirements:
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid AZ Driver’s License
- Criminal Background Verification
- Pre-Hire and Random Drug/Alcohol Screening
- Covid-19 Vaccination
