Labor Foreman

S&ME is seeking an individual to join our team in Pell City, Alabama on a project with Southern Company as a Labor Foreman and help us provide engineering solutions to our clients.

You will report to Southern Company's Logan Martin Dam office in Vincent, Alabama for weekly scheduled projects and locations.

Extensive travel is required. Travel expenses will be covered by Southern Company.

What You Will Do :

As a Labor Foreman , you will support the fieldwork efforts on drilling projects throughout the southeastern United States which include, but are not limited to, environmental drilling, remediation services, and the collection of soil, rock, and groundwater samples.

Assisting the Lead Driller on a variety of projects and tasks. The successful candidate will exhibit safety, quality workmanship, and integrity;

be dependable; and be open to working in various environmental conditions.

What You Bring :

• A High School Diploma / GED
• Experience working around heavy equipment
• Drilling experience, a plus

Working Conditions and Physical Demands :

• Working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50 lbs. (field / laboratory samples and equipment)
• Ability to work and maneuver equipment, such as a loaded wheelbarrow, on uneven ground and around active construction sites
• Traveling out-of-town overnight as necessary.
• Working outside of normal business hours when necessary.
