The S|CPA Network is a growing regional firm with professional accounting offices in Ohio and Texas.

This full-time position conducts assurance services at the firm's Austin, Texas practice SCPA Group, LLC.

For over 25 years, SCPA Group a full-service public accounting firm, has provided tax, audit, assurance, accounting and business advisory services to privately held businesses and high net worth individuals throughout central Texas.

As we experience continued growth, we currently seek a dedicated Audit Associate with 1 year of recent public accounting audit experience. As our Audit Associate, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.

SCPA Group Responsibilities and Professional skills for this role include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in and take an active role in assisting the Senior Audit Associate with planning and the audit process.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to bring order to unstructured problems.
  • Review your work for quality, accuracy and relevance.
  • Complete audits and submit reports timely.
  • Present audit findings and develop ways to increase compliance and efficiency.
  • Use straightforward communication, in a structured way, when influencing and connecting with others.
  • Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.

Professional Skills/Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years’ experience as an auditor.
  • BSc / BA in Accounting
  • CPA candidate in pursuit of license preferred.
  • Understanding of basic auditing and control practices.
  • Technical knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the United States.
  • Experience in the construction industry a plus.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Dedication to superior client service.
  • Professional accounting firm experience a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, professional attitude, and consistently interacting with clients with integrity and reliability.
