S&B Infrastructure is currently searching for an experienced Senior Accounting to join our team. Must have a solid understanding of general accepted accounting principles. Must possess the ability to independently manage, review, and/or complete account reconciliations and enter journal entries into the accounting system. Utilize financial analysis expertise to ensure accuracy & completeness of financial statements and internal reports. Working experience in the regulatory realm of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) as well as the federal government’s Cost Accounting Standards (the CAS), issued by the Cost Accounting Standards Board (CASB) preferred.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field is required. Master’s preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree with 7 - 9 years of experience in Accounting, Finance or Business-related field
• Public accounting firm and/or private equity firm experience preferred
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Oracle and/or OneStream experience a plus
• Strong oral and written communication skills

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages and reviews balance sheet, income statement, and partners’ capital account reconciliations.
• Supports accounting functions including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, and intercompany accounting.
• Reviews, evaluates, and implements accounting systems, policies, controls, and procedures.
• Ensures deadlines for accounting close are met and needed reports are prepared in a timely and accurate manner.
• Reviews and assists with financial statements and related reports including but not limited to balance sheets, income statements, cash-flow reports, budgets, and variance analysis.
• Understands key business drivers to effectively communicate the “business story.”
• Analyzes financial performance against trends.
• Working experience in the regulatory realm of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) as well as the federal government’s Cost Accounting Standards (the CAS), issued by the Cost Accounting Standards Board (CASB).
• Working experience with DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) audits and resolving interpretative differences with auditors.
• Preparing cost and price multipliers that comply with federal regulations.
• Familiarity with preparing a CASB Disclosure Statement.
• Familiarity with state, county, and municipal contract compliance audits.
• Assists in the preparation of the annual independent audits and supports the tax group with annual preparation of supporting reconciliations and reports.
• Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Utilizes interpersonal communication and relationship development skills to complete tasks that require frequent interchange and successful completion dependent upon effective interaction and communication with others.
• Will lead special projects and financial audits as required.
• Experience with M&A is a plus.
• Other duties may be assigned.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, client contracts, subcontracts, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients and managers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Proficient in the use of standard business financial mathematical functions with the aid of a PC spreadsheet package or calculator.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb and balance. Lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required. Require close and distance vision, depth perception, and focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Occasionally, may conduct or participate in a field trip to existing or new plants. This may require exposure to outdoor weather conditions, loud noise, working near moving mechanical parts, vibration, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals and airborne particles.
