Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Specialist to join our team. As a Support Specialist, you will provide assistance and guidance to individuals in need, focusing on behavioral health and crisis management. Your role will involve utilizing your skills in motivational interviewing, social work, addiction counseling, crisis intervention, and mental health counseling to support and empower individuals on their journey towards recovery.
Duties:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide counseling and support services to individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive change
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive care plans
- Offer crisis intervention services to individuals in immediate distress
- Facilitate group therapy sessions and educational workshops
- Assist individuals in accessing community resources and support systems
- Provide mentoring and guidance to individuals seeking personal growth and development
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Previous experience in behavioral health or related field
- Knowledge of crisis management techniques and best practices
- Familiarity with addiction counseling principles and interventions
- Strong understanding of mental health disorders and treatment modalities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
