RYDE, is seeking dedicated and responsible individuals to join our team as a RYDE Electric Shuttle Driver. As a driver, you will play a crucial role in providing a free, city-funded, on-demand electric shuttle service in the local community of Third Ward and Second Ward Houston.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate RYDE electric shuttles and transport passengers within designated routes in Third Ward using our on-demand app.
• Provideexcellent customer service to passengers, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the shuttle, adhering to maintenance and safety protocols.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating the shuttle.
• Collaborate with fellow drivers to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Assist passengers, including those with disabilities or special needs, in boarding and disembarking the shuttle.
• Service Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm
• Shifts:

Full Day 7:30am - 4:30pm with 1 hour lunch

Half Day = 7:30am - 12pm or 12pm - 4:30pm

Requirements:

• Between the age of 23 and 45 years old (Insurance Requirement)
• MUST BE PUNCTUAL AND DEPENDABLE. (We do not tolerate tardiness and call ins)
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• City of Houston Chauffeur's Permit or Willingness to Obtain One.
• Previous experience in driving passenger vehicles (e.g., taxis, shuttles, rideshare services) is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with the Third Ward community and its transportation needs is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AND KINDNESS ARE A MUST
• Reliable transportation to work.
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
• A genuine passion for sustainable transportation and improving access to essential services for underserved communities.
• Available Monday - Friday; 7:30am - 4:30pm.
