Some things you can expect to do:

• Supervise and/or assist subcontractors with preventive maintenance on HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and building equipment.
• Maintain mechanical rooms, utility rooms, and vacant areas in a neat, clean, and safe condition.
• Monitor Fire/Life/Safety equipment as required.
• Respect tools assigned to the building, clean & properly store after each use.
• Participate in on-call, after-hours, and weekend rotation.

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent verbal communication skills and a helpful attitude when interacting with building occupants. You have a high school degree or equivalent and at least 2 years of successful maintenance experience in a commercial environment. You have a clear driving record, basic knowledge of computer applications, and ability to lift 120 lbs. You must also be able to work from a ladder, work overhead, smell smoke and other chemicals and be able to work outside in a variety of weather conditions.

You will really stand out if you:

• Have a knowledge of HVAC systems and ability to make needed adjustments and general repairs.
• Have been educated at a trade school.
