RWJBarnabas Health is Hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit - Per Diem Near Livingston, NJ

JOB SUMMARY:

Organize and administers individualized age specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Supports philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing. Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in Unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.

EDUCATION:

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Preferred Baccalaureate degree in Nursing.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum (2) two years recent/current experience in specialty required.
  • Active New Jersey RN licensure required.
  • BLS from American Heart Association required.
  • NRP required.
  • PALS required.
  • Must have I.V. certification and pass test upon hire.
  • Must have Cardiac Rhythm certificate and pass test upon hire.
  • 4 total contact hours of stroke continuing education from current year (must have certifications)
  • Completion of all orientation requirements by Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.
  • Successful completion of all Orientation programs required by Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.
