Job Overview:

The Observation Unit is a fast-paced department that continues the safe medical management of Emergency Department patients until a disposition can be determined,

Qualifications:

Required:

• Active, valid NJ Registered Nurse license required
• BLS required
• ACLS required

Preferred:

• BSN preferred
• Certification in Telemetry, Trauma, Stroke preferred
• 1-year nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred

Scheduling Requirements

• 36 Hours/Week
• Night Shift

Essential Functions:

• Ensuring the delivery of safe and quality patient care,
• Perform, adapt and safely demonstrate procedures required by patients according to policies and procedures,
• Administers medications accurately and safely,
• Documents according to policies and procedures Performs, demonstrates and documents technical skills specific to the nursing unit,
• Fast-paced observation environment
