RVR Consulting Group is Hiring a Special Events Coordinator Near Winter Park, FL

Since 2001, We have been providing hope for families that have been searching for the place where the impossible IS possible. We offer a private special needs school for K-12, summer camp, early intervention for ages 6 months to 4 years old, a full-day adult, and individual and virtual programming. Our mission is to provide innovative programs for lifelong learning and development that transform lives utilizing conductive education that integrates physical, cognitive, and social skills. 
We are currently in search of a Special Events Coordinator. The Special Events Coordinator is responsible for the management and coordination of major fundraising events and community engagement events. This high-energy individual will bring a high level of organization, creativity and experience to driving major fundraising events to successfully raise necessary revenue, further stewardship, and bring about awareness for the organization.
What You'll Do
  •  Manage key aspects of the annual Raymond Golf Classic Tournament and annual Night of Dreams Gala
  • Responsible for ticket sales and solicitations
  • Planning for start-to-finish silent auctions and event committees
  • Pre and post-event communications as well as maintaining event database and task lists
  • Working with the Director of Development and the Development Committee to implement ideas and garner feedback for event success
  • Serve as the face of the company at community tabling opportunities, and help to facilitate new relationships
  • Work with community partners on Percent Back Night initiatives, beneficiary income, and other small events as needed
  • Work with volunteer groups to facilitate relationships and expand volunteer opportunities
  • Engage parents, families, and staff in events and community relations
  • Support the Professional Committee, Third Party, PTCO, and Board of Directors’s related events management.
What You'll Need
  •  2-3 years experience in special event management
  • Have high energy and enthusiasm for the success of major events
  • Team player mentality
  • Responsible, flexible, hardworking, ethical, and committed to the mission of the company
  •  Highly organized and detail-oriented – ability to multitask 
  • Available to work nights and weekends if needed
  • Be self-motivated and able to work towards goals independently
  •  Possess excellent oral and written skills – able to effectively communicate
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat (knowledge of Canva and Constant Contact a plus)
  •  Have a current driver’s license
Education and Experience:
A successful candidate is an individual holding a bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years experience within the fields of Event Management, Hospitality, or Nonprofit Management. We understand the value of working in teams with diverse educational backgrounds and encourage individuals with alternate educational paths to apply.
