We are currently looking for a Busser.

Principle Responsibilities/Position Purpose:

Busser Sets and clears restaurant tables; stocks all service stations and assists food servers with table service to ensure total guest satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Quickly clear dirty table settings and prepare table for resetting. Promptly and consistently reset all silverware as prescribed.
• Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen and condiments. Wipe down booths/tables and chairs, move tables and chairs and clean floors as necessary.
• Serve guests with beverages, breads and butter to begin their dining experience and replenish as necessary. Assist server with food & beverage service to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Transport all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area for proper cleaning. Busser.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:

In addition to performance of the essential functions busser, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

• Attend required meetings.
• Folding napkins for all meal periods throughout the day to maintain an adequate supply.
• Perform all assigned side work to include replenishing condiments and restocking side stands.
• Perform any general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
• Perform other duties as requested, cleaning unexpected spills, handling special guest requests, greeting and seating guests and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required.

Six months experience in a customer service, related industry preferred, busser.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES:

Busser must obtain any government required licenses or certificates, for example, California Food Handlers. CPR/First Aid preferred.
