RUSSELL STOVER CHOCOLATES is Hiring a B2B Sales Representative Near Kansas City, MO

The Business to Business (B2B) Sales Representative is responsible for the generation, development, execution and follow-up on Business to Business sales leads, making sales or obtaining orders or contracts for services while supporting and championing the Russell Stover Chocolates brands and image to external customers. The Business to Business (B2B) Sales Representative partners with E-commerce and Marketing colleagues to generate profitable sales and increase awareness of the Russell Stover Chocolates brand. The Business to Business Sales Representative also designs, develops, and executes effective sales plans to reach corporate, divisional, and financial goals focusing on maintaining existing customers and growing incremental sales among existing and potential customers. The key functions of this role include:
  • Responds to request for proposals & information from current and potential B2B customers.
  • Prepares and delivers quotes, contracts, and sales presentations.
  • Identifies, maintains and tracks progress against prospect customer list.
  • Develops prospects via effective and professional cold call techniques
  • Utilizes phone canvassing, field canvassing, vertical marketing, direct mail, and other marketing techniques to develop clients.
  • Develops and executes an effective B2B referral program
  • Maintains all quote documentation with accurate pricing and configurations
  • Maintains all sales demonstration tools, applications, and collateral
  • Develops and delivers sales presentations in a professional and effective manner by developing presentations for potential customers and maintaining up-to-date awareness of company activities and initiatives along with industry trends
  • Spends time in field and on phone developing new client relationships
  • Increases product and brand knowledge by participating in product knowledge/training sessions and trade shows as appropriate
  • Meets and exceeds appropriate sales and profit goals
  • Maintains a high level of quality of work in processing orders and resolving customer issues
  • Maintains customer loyalty and generates repeat business
  • Initiates creative ideas to further build the business profitably
  • Understands target audiences, the company's business needs, marketing and sales goals and incorporated this knowledge into sales strategy development
  • Performs necessary administrative tasks to properly track sales and profitability
  • Ensures all sales programs are consistent with the Russell Stover image and brand equity

Basic Qualifications
  • Two years’ experience in outside/inside/telemarketing sales preferred 
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Working knowledge of field concepts, practices and procedures
  • Experience with working within budget parameters to meet objectives
  • Experience with multi-media sales techniques (print, electronic, audio/visual)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Good prospecting, presentation, and selling skills
  • Strong work ethic, including a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Excellent time management skills, able to prioritize multiple competing tasks
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills
