General Summary:
Under supervision, conducts various established functions that support research at the Rush Alzheimer's Disease Center (RADC), with a particular focus on the lab research on Alzheimer's disease and related neuropathologies.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provides assistance with histology,
2. Provides assistance with blood processing,
3. Provides assistance with slide scanning on Aperio,
4. Observes autopsy, brains dissection, tissue staining, and case review,
5. Provides assistance with data entry on to electronic forms,
6. Other research activities, as seen fit by the lab management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. This position is tailored for a high school student,
2. Basic knowledge on brain anatomy,
3. Highly motivated in research, detail oriented, good communication skills, eager to learn, and ability to work with investigators,
4. Computer proficiency
