Rural King Supply is Hiring a Benefits Analyst Near Mattoon, IL

Overview

The purpose of the Benefits Analyst is to play an integral role in servicing associates during their employment life cycle with benefits including health insurance, RK4Life associate wellness program, and retirement benefits. This role will provide key analysis and support in the achievement of our associate benefits goals. This position will support the Benefits Manager through reporting and administering benefit programs to align with business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as point-of-contact for Administrative Coordinator with benefits related support.
  • Assist associates with resolution of benefits issues and concerns by working with plan vendors and third-party administrators.
  • Communicate, coordinate, and monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual benefit enrollment activities.
  • Assist with the administration of the RK4Life Wellness program.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly benefit communication content to internal customers.
  • Prepare, create, and analyze a variety of benefits reporting to ensure associate support and alignment with Rural King’s long-term strategy.
  • Utilize HRIS and other systems to ensure optimal performance of the benefits process.
  • Collaborate with the benefits team in determining future benefit programs.
  • May be required to cross train and perform other duties.

Qualifications

  • At least 1-5 years administrative office experience, with preference in human resources, employee benefits, insurance, health care administration, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential information.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong understanding of retail business practices.
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated behaviors must reflect integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

  • Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department across facilities.
  • Must be able to verbally communicate effectively with others (in-person and via electronic devices).
  • Must have close visual acuity.
