RUN Studios is seeking a motivated Business Intelligence Developer to create and manage their company’s business intelligence infrastructure, tools, and reports.

The ideal candidate will leverage knowledge of system, software, computer equipment, business process, and regulations to accurately report data that aids in decision-making for all aspects of the business. The BI Developer will be responsible for designing improvements for increased reporting availability, efficiency, and accuracy. The primary role is to build a bridge between data and the people who need to query it but who lack the SQL skills needed for sophisticated query construction. A business intelligence interface fills the gap, providing easy-to-navigate, intuitive tools in order to simplify data interaction.

As a Business Intelligence Developer, You Will
  • Collect and maintain the set of business reporting requirements
  • Implement BI reports based on the above requirements
  • Report directly to the Director of IT
  • Analyze requirements, develop specifications, code, test, debug, and implement custom reports and labels
  • Design, code, test, and aggregate results from SQL queries to provide information to users
  • Formalize and integrate existing SQL queries into established reporting tools and ERP system
  • Work with end users to develop report requirements and conduct acceptance testing as required
  • Participate in the design, development, and analysis of data architecture and warehousing approaches
  • Test and debug code in a deliberate and structured manner to deliver software that functions as intended
  • Set up and maintain BI tools, infrastructure, and integration with company data sources
  • Propose/implement data schema and data flow optimization for reporting/process performance and enhancement as needed
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Meet standards for functionality, security, and ease of maintenance
As an Applicant, You Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field
  • Adept at the use of BI reporting tools such Power BI
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Understanding data modeling, data schema (normalized, flat, star, snowflake, etc.)
  • Understanding database operations and optimization for Microsoft SQL Server
  • Understanding data and query optimization, query profiling, and query performance monitoring tools and techniques
  • Python or Node.js knowledge (Webhooks, ETL, APIs, GraphQL)
  • Proficient with Power Apps and Power Automate
  • Ability to participate in all phases of platform development
  • Ability to contribute in a team environment and work across multiple organizations with unique requirements
