Ruekert Mielke is Hiring an Engineering Technician Near Madison, WI

Ruekert & Mielke, Inc. (R/M) is searching for an Engineering Technician to join our award-winning firm. In this role, you’ll work closely with R/M’s team of civil and agricultural engineers to provide unparalleled planning, design, and construction management services to communities, farms, and businesses throughout Wisconsin.

Qualifications:

  • 0-3 years of professional experience in a related field or school/training equivalent
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Civil3D experience preferred, but will train the right applicant
  • Associates Degree preferred

This role allows for some personalization of job duties based on your experience and interests. Basic duties performed include:

  • Assist engineers in design
  • Develop plan sets in and design base files in Civil 3D
  • Compile filed data as needed to complete design
  • Build exhibits for client/engineer meetings

Additional opportunities to expand this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Utility design (sanitary, storm, and water)
  • 3D grading site design
  • Roadway corridor design using latest software
  • Working with the reality capture team to process point clouds collected by 3D laser scanners and UAS (drone) survey
  • Survey and construction inspection work that allows you to get out of the office and to see your projects come to life
  • Work with a variety of software programs, including Revit, Infraworks and Pix4D.
